Valerie Brys

Our humans are avid media consumers. We’re always keen to know what they’ve read, watched and listened to over the past few weeks, because there’s bound to be good stuff there. Today it’s Valerie Brys’ turn to share her favourites. Get inspired by our account manager and ray of sunshine.

Read: Thinking Fast & Slow

In “Thinking Fast & Slow”, professor and psychologist Daniel Kahneman delves into the minds of fellow humans. His insights into how others think and act pave the road for more efficient communication. And that, of course, is gold for an account manager. The most important takeaway for Valerie? Although we like to pretend otherwise, we usually think intuitively – not critically.

Watch: Steven Van Belleghem’s YouTube channel

Valerie first encountered Steven Van Belleghem while she was a student. She read his book “When digital becomes human” in one go. Today, she enjoys scrolling through Van Belleghem’s YouTube channel. His videos mainly focus on customer experience and marketing trends, like how AI influences our buying behaviour – to name just one episode that Valerie especially liked. According to Steven, only the brands that invest in brand awareness will survive the era of AI. Hear hear.

Listen: The Digital Marketing Podcast

To Valerie, Rowles and Rogers’ “The Digital Marketing Podcast” stands out from the marketing podcasts crowd. From SEA to email marketing or the latest AI tools: each topic is covered in a manageable twenty to thirty minutes. Perfect timing for Valerie, who lives just under an hour’s drive from our Berchem office.
