Our humans are avid media consumers. We’re always keen to know what they’ve read, watched and listened to over the past few weeks, because there’s bound to be good stuff there. Today it’s Stefany Bayer’s turn to share her favourites. Get inspired by our traffic and operations manager and the ‘Madame Fête’ of our party planning committee.

Read: Contagious
Master conversationalist Stefany being a fan of word-of-mouth marketing shouldn’t come as a big surprise. It’s a fondness she shares with Jonah Berger. In his book on viral marketing, Berger argues that word-of-mouth is the most reliable form of marketing we have at our disposal. When your inner circle talks to you about products that match your interests, you’re getting information from a reliable source and with the most accurate targeting imaginable. “Berger loves a good story. And that’s exactly what we at Onlyhumans are all about.”
Watch: Spotify Wrapped
Stefany went off the beaten ‘watch’ track by picking Spotify Wrapped, but she has definitely has a point there: you can indeed not not see the annual personalized statistics. “Love it or hate it, Spotify Wrapped is excellent content marketing”, says Stefany. “Year after year, the streaming platform manages to create a buzz and convince people to share their songs most-listened-to on social media.”
It’s a bit too soon for your 2024 Spotify Wrapped, but there’s always the most streamed songs of 2023 to check out. You can access your personal list by entering “Spotify Wrapped” in the search bar of your Spotify app. But you’ve already shared your stats, right?
Listen: De plank
In Niek Eijsbouts’s podcast called “De plank”, advertisers get one last chance to present their best idea-that-didn't-quite-make-it. Stefany loves listening to them doing justice to those countless hours, the headaches, and the fun that went into developing their creative idea. “You get interesting insights into how other agencies deal with failure, and how they handle pitch processes. I can also relate to those stories where a good concept is already well into the production stage but ends up getting killed off or completely flipped around.”
