Our humans are avid media consumers. We’re always keen to know what they’ve read, watched and listened to over the past few weeks, because there’s bound to be good stuff there. Today it’s Jeroen Joosens’ turn to share his favourites. Get inspired by our managing director and critical thinker.

Read: The Drum
News site The Drum is where Jeroen gets most of his marketing updates. "I like to know what's going on internationally. Some countries are quicker to pick up on trends than we are, and it's interesting to see if anything actually comes from that. I also prefer introducing our clients to new developments in marketing rather than having them teach us a thing or two. (winks)”
Watch: Dragons’ Den (UK)/Shark Tank (US)
Flopping onto the couch and putting on mindless TV? That’s not really Jeroen’s thing. He likes to watch Dragons' Den or its American equivalent Shark Tank.
"I’m intrigued by what the entrepreneurs come up with and how they pitch their ideas to experienced professionals. You learn how they go about defining their target audience and plotting their marketing strategy. I always have fun guessing what will be a hit or a miss, and to count how many times I was right – or wrong."
You can watch Dragons' Den on BBC1 and Shark Tank via Hulu, Prime Video or Apple TV.
Listen: The CMO Podcast
The CMO Podcast is the American big brother of the Dutch CMOtalk. Its host is Jim Stengel, entrepreneur and former CMO of Procter & Gamble. “The CMO Podcast never disappoints in terms of topics and brands”, Jeroen thinks. "As a marketer, it's important to keep an open mind and to look beyond Belgian brands." Jeroen's favourite episode? The annual roundtable following the Super Bowl.
