Our humans are avid media consumers. We’re always keen to know what they’ve read, watched and listened to over the past few weeks, because there’s bound to be good stuff there. Today it’s Wouter Vandenbogaerde’s turn to share his favourites. Get inspired by our account director aka Ironman-to-be.

Read: The Challenger Sale – Matthew Dixon & Brent Adamson
Wouter has been intrigued by human interactions and social dynamics ever since he was a little kid. His continued interest in psychology and the art of persuasion drew him to The Challenger Sale.
Wouter: “This book is based on one of the largest-ever studies on salespeople, and it provides insight into how they operate and think. Dixon and Adamson also rewrite the dusty rulebook of ‘build a relationship with your customer’ and ‘use your charms’.” Instead, the authors recommend questioning customers’ old ways of thinking and offering alternative perspectives to them.
Though the book is several years old, Wouter underscores its lasting relevance for sales professionals, business consultants, and whoever works in marketing.
Watch: In a nutshell – Kurzgesagt
Breathing life into the rather dry topics of history, astronomy, and politics: that’s content marketing at its finest for Wouter. “With their cool, recognisable style, Kurzgesagt proves that good content can really generate business. This animation studio succeeded in building a community with their videos, and they’ve had their own web shop for a few years now.”
Listen: Blinkist
“I’m a reluctant reader, preferring to spend my spare time with my daughter, girlfriend and friends, or working out. For less than seven euros a month, Blinkist offers key insights and takeaways from an endless number of non-fiction books. You can read them or listen to them. The format is perfect if you’re short on time or not keen on reading, yet eager to learn new things.”
Wouter is also a fan of Blinkist’s email marketing: the suggestions in their mails are so spot-on that he often finds himself accepting them. You’ve been marketed, Wouter!
