To celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2020, Immotheker Finotheker wanted more than cake. Our birthday gift to this independent advisor specialising in housing finance and financial planning in Belgium: putting the housing crisis on the political agenda and gaining brand awareness while we were at it.
Together with polling agency iVOX, we researched the housing and saving habits of four generations of Belgians. As it turned out, sadly enough, a whopping two-thirds of Belgians aged 21 to 35 were unlikely to ever be able to afford their own home. We shared our findings across Immotheker Finotheker's blog and social platforms – which led to significant (and free) press coverage.
Immotheker Finotheker became a prominent thought leader in the housing debate. Our campaign even triggered a parliamentary question for the Flemish Minister of Finance and Budget, Housing and Heritage. And we snagged silver at the Best of Content Awards (BOCAs) for ‘Best use of PR in a Content Program’ category as the icing on the cake.
