Onlyhumans presents: DIY the smart way, with Easykit
Easykit, smart DIY kits. 🎶 Sounds familiar? Then we bet you love listening to Belgian radio stations. Discover how Onlyhumans made the product behind the tune just as famous as the Easykit jingle itself.
What’s in a package?
Exactly what is a smart DIY package? In the case of Easykit, it means you receive all the materials you need to get cracking yourself, while a coach supports you with advice over the phone or in person. Because their concept is fairly new, Easykit asked us to spread their message so that everyone would understand what Easykit is about, their young target audience especially. Think of couples who are about to refurbish their first home, a young man doing odd jobs with his father-in-law, or two friends joining forces to get the job done. Young, smart do-it-yourselfers and a coach? Say no more.
Easykit offers DIY packages for ventilation, heating, electricity and plumbing projects. Each package helps consumers in three steps: planning, implementation and a quality check. Both the diverse product offer and the three-step plan with professional assistance are important USPs for the Easykit brand. To emphasize the valuable support each Easykit customer can count on, we put the Easykit coach centre stage in our campaign. He is sympathetic, has a lot of DIY knowledge, a talent for coaching and a great sense of humor.
Smart DIY calls for smart production
We poured our coaching concept into a video and radio campaign, together with Red Dust -Studio Helsinki. The radio ads started to air in the beginning of October, on all DPG and VAR radio stations. To get noticed on the growing range of advertising channels while keeping the budget under control, we fully focused on smart production. While recording, we took all possible formats into account, so that the ads would be suitable for TV as well as online use.
We also made sure a photographer was present during the video shoot. As a result, we were able to provide our client with a large number of high-quality photos of the coach and the do-it-yourselfers, which Easykit could then use for their other communications: blog posts, brochures, social media messages, … Smart production: check. 😉
Translating Easykit’s coaching concept into a series of radio ads proved a breeze. We added a touch of humor while also making sure the coaching persona we created remained recognizable in each commercial. And the famous jingle? We kept it, of course – if it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. Curious about the results? Click play!
